Big milestones this week. We started him on cereal last Thursday. It seems like he loves his milk now. Either that or he’s just really hungry every time. He also flipped over on his own yesterday – that’s right 5 months and 1 day later he flipped on his own. Last week we saw that when we put him on his tummy he flipped on his back, but yesterday he flipped from his back to his belly. My mom and I were in the kitchen cooking (yes, she’s visiting this week. His last care giver before daycare) and I checked on him a couple of times because he was in the living room. He was doing what he usually does – watching TV and playing with his toy. The next time I went to check on him, he was on his belly. I was so shocked and surprised that I called my mom and he heard the commotion and got excited. He started laughing.
I also found baby food that is safe for 4 months and older at Shoprite last week, so I bought a jar. It was peas. It was technically the first thing he ate after his milk. Let’s see if he grows up to like peas like his dad.
We narrowed down on a day care. He will be starting as early as next week. We are excited because it’s close to home, it’s a family owned place, and they are pretty flexible (unlike the last one we saw last week).the downfall is that they don’t have a curriculum like the last place, but I may suggest it to the owners in a couple of months. So either he will start next Wednesday or the following Monday (after super bowl). Either way, we’re excited to get things settled.
