Week 39

What a week. Veer had diarrhea last week; I haven’t had to change that many diapers since he was a baby. He usually has 2-3 BMs a day, but last week it was like 6-7. The big difference between when he was a baby and now is that when he was a baby he would stay put. Now he wants to do anything but lie still – he is constantly flipping around, touching him poop, scratching his butt, kicking his feet. When I called the doctor to see if there was a solution to the diarrhea, she recommended I take him off his formula and try soy formula (um, no!), stop giving fruits and only give him bananas, and give him rice. I did most of that later on in the week and I think it definitely helped. He is back to normal with about 2 BMs a day. Earlier this week when I was talking to my friend Tina and I told her about his BMs, she suggested it could have been the anti-biotic he was on the week before. I guess anti-biotic s give kids (and even adults?) diarrhea. I just wonder, why the doctor hasn’t suggested that!?
I think I forgot to mention we lowered his crib about a month ago, which was so over due and now so necessary. Whenever he wakes ups, he now stands up and either looks around his room or cries. I wonder when we’ll have to lower the crib again. It was a pain in the butt and I am so not looking forward to it.
We started noticing how his face is changing and how he is becoming more “human” (versus baby). When he wakes up now, we notice that his face is a little puffy. Mom#2 has a puffy face when she wakes up. I do too sometimes.
Now that he is full fledged crawling he is starting to lift himself up on couches and the coffee table/ottoman. He gets up really fast and struggles to get back down. Here are some shots from this week:
licking the cockscrew board and think, "yummy wine is good"

Trapped in bed with pillows

found his way out - dont worry- i caught him before he could fall.

This past weekend was Kavita’s 30th masquerade birthday bash at her house. Veer was being so naughty and cute. He was so excited to see everyone that he wouldn’t go to sleep. By the end of the night he was so tried and irritable. Luckily Mom and dad took him to their house. The rest of the night ended like this:

And here is the monkey at 39 weeks:
