1st week of daycare was a long week. Monday and Tuesday were not good days for him. When I called, Miss April told me that he was very aware of everyone and would cry when another baby cried. He didn’t eat much either, but she reassured us that he’ll learn to eat there too. It will be a lesson in tough love because over there if you don’t eat when they feed you, they don’t necessary come again and try to feed you. She said eventually they all learn and eat when it’s their time. He also didn’t sleep well there, but that we knew would happen. On Friday, they don’t have a full house, so he was much better. It was quieter and probably the teachers were able to give him more time and attention. But boy, was he tired after school all day. One of the days, I think Wednesday, he fell asleep at 8:30 and you know he hasn’t done that since…. well ever! I’m looking forward to forming a routine with him. Now he has to be in bed by 10 even if he is up.
We bought the snot sucker and it works like a charm. So much better than the bulb syringe. I wonder if it hurts them if we suck too hard. I love that when I use it, it cleans his nose almost completely. He still has a runny and snotty nose. I doubt it will go away immediately. Anand is sick too and since he keeps him 2 days with him, I doubt he’ll get over it fast.
We started feeding him cereal one times a day and he loves it. He eats it really fast. I think we might start food next month. At this point I want to make his baby food, so I have to start gathering supplies. I think instead of buying a baby food maker, which I will only use for about 6 months at most, I think I’ll just splurge invest in a good food processor – hello my love. Happy early 30th Birthday to me?
Until next week... happy Valentine's day!
