Week 21

The weeks are starting to blur now. When someone asks how many months I am, I am tempted to log on this blog to see how many months. I’m glad I have my handy dandy tracker on the right (no, really – look to the right of this post). I like know the growth of the baby too. I wish I can capture the change each week on the tracker. I noticed my knee is better now. Not sure if my body got used to the extra weight or if it was because of the cold. Either way I am just happy I can walk without feeling pain in my knee. Oh and speaking of weight…. Hello appetite!! I know I shouldn’t have complained to the doctors about not gaining weight. I’ve gained like 5-6lbs in the last month. So now I’m officially 11lbs into this pregnancy. It doesn’t help that it’s my birthday week (yay- last year in my 20s!). It also doesn’t help that Kavita makes the most delicious no-outta-the-box cupcakes with real frosting.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the baby’s room. I think once the weather gets a little nicer, we want to get the room ready. That means the three closets in the room that have our stuff in it will have to be condensed in about 1 closet. The baby’s room has more closets than ours. We have one long his/her closet. Baby has two individual his/her closets and also an extra closet. The extra closet houses my shoes right now. The other closet stores Anand’s Indian clothes, suits, shirts, and my dresses. We also have extra blankets and pillows. I have no idea where we are going to put the stuff that’s in the closets, but we’ll just have to downsize. Learn to live with less than what we have. Okay, back to the room. We wanted nothing pink or blue. 1) cus it’s just not our things and 2) cus we don’t know the sex of the baby. I am torn between a sunny and bright colored playroom or a clam and relaxed boudoir-esque room. One thing is for sure. We have the colors picked: yellow and grey. I wanted to do strips in my living room and that didn’t happen so I might convince Anand to do it in the baby’s room. Here is a collage of idea that we might use to decorate:
